Restaurant review: Suckhole Restaurant & Bar, Tobago

  

Now what kind of a name is that for a restaurant? Well, when I first heard it I laughed along with my colleagues.

Last year, my colleagues and I went Tobago on a team building exercise and found our way to Charlotteville.  The trip was not planned and by the time we got there we were extremely hungry but could find nowhere to eat. 

As we got close to the beach, we saw a sign ‘Suckhole Restaurant & Bar’ and we laughed and joked about the name.   Well, we paid for that as people in the area recommended the same restaurant and spoke highly of the food too.

The restaurant was cozy with somewhat of a pirate theme about it.  We didn’t know what to expect and so ordered very cautiously.  It was a group of us and the meals were being made on the spot so it took some time.

Folks, we were amazed by the amount of food, the flavours and the price.  Everyone got quiet real fast as we were all too busy eating.  It was the best meal we had in Tobago that weekend. To date, we talk about Suckhole and why you should never judge a book by its cover.  

When next you go to Tobago, take a drive up to Charlotteville and stop by Suckhole; great flavour will be waiting for you!
